How does Lax-A Fibre® work?
Lax-A Fibre® helps make stools softer and bulkier and stimulates the intestinal muscles to contract, causing the digestive contents to move along and leading to an easier bowel movement.

Dosage - 336 grams – 48 doses. A usual adult dose is 7 grams (about one rounded teaspoon), 1 to 3 times per day, or as directed by your physician or healthcare professional.
Medicinal Ingredients - 100% natural psyllium fibre.
Storage - Store below 30°C.
Cautions and Warnings - Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or if laxative effect does not occur within seven days. Do not take a laxative within 2 hours of taking any other medicine. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking medications which inhibit peristaltic movement. Avoid inhalation. May cause an allergic reaction in people sensitive to inhaled or ingested psyllium. Taking this product without adequate fluid may cause it to swell and block your throat or oesophagus and may cause choking. Consult a health care practitioner immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Do not take any type of laxative for more than 1 week unless your physician has ordered a special schedule for you. Do not interrupt medication. Do not swallow in dry form. Do not use if you have difficulty swallowing. Do not use if you have diabetes mellitus in which blood sugar is difficult to regulate. Do not use if you are experiencing a sudden change in bowel habits that has persisted for more than 2 weeks, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, or failure to defecate following the use of another laxative product. Hypersensitivity, such as allergy, has been known to occur following inhaled and/or ingested psyllium; in which case, discontinue use. May cause temporary gas and/or bloating.
